    SoftBank likely had to pass on China’s $800 billion sovereign wealth fund for political reasons. (wouldn’t have passed CFIUS review.) But there is another option: co-investing where the two funds invest in startups side by side. Don’t be surprised if you see that in future deals

    FB exec says the memo doesn’t reflect his actual views. He’s wargaming. Playing out the hypotheticals as any good exec/leader does. Problem: The memo articulates exactly what everyone outside of Silicon Valley fears is how Silicon Valley execs think.
