Also, if you can get involved in local advocacy groups that have people who can do the in-person meetings or phone calls, that's good too.

But, ultimately, no matter what you do, if you communicate with your member of congress at all, you are ahead of most people.

I have called local offices, district offices, Washington offices and got an ans mach and a full voice mail.

Some reps just don't answer, so you'll need to see if you can drop by, go to a town hall, or send a letter.

I sent personal letters to my Congressional representative,
@repdavetrott multiple times. All I received were autoreplies. -
That's usually all they have time for. You can still send letters and work with local advocacy groups for a louder voice.

Not in California if you are a Republican. They are mostly Democrats.
