I really believe someone can go from 0 to hired as a full-stack developer in 4-8 months, totally. It'll be a lot of work, but it's totally possible if you believe in yourself and have fun while you're doing it.

TBF, my pops is (retired now) a formal EE/CS. So, I grew up around computers...ran my own BBS when I was a kid (I’m old
); so, I wasn’t starting from scratch. -
But... when I went to
@RutgersU in 2001 as a frosh, CS courses were taught in Java and exams were WRITTEN (in a blue book, with a pencil); so, I only lasted a semester until I changed majors (to English)...worked for Pfizer after school and then went to law school. - 28 more replies
