Is that true though? How many of these massively followed influencers you have on your timeline, you actually see running some serious promotions? I bet none if not one...or two! Not more than five I swear!

Why are these influencers going no where regardless of their impressive following? And, Oh! we also see those "I am selling my account" sales pitch! How many have succeeded at selling?

Here are few mistakes I think these influencers are making which are costing them any chance of scoring some gigs! FIVE MISTAKES COSTING INFLUENCERS' FUTURE!

1. THEY DON'T HAVE WELL DEFINED MARKETS. Their posts don't reflect any of their desired markets. Which brands do you want to promo? What's your target market? Brands want to use someone who's aligned with their respective markets!

2. THEY LACK CONTENT. As an influencer, you're a brand and every brand must breath content in their target market. But what we see daily from these influencers is meaningless tweets with no value at all. There has to be value that you're promising to your promos.

3. IRRELEVANT AUDIENCE! You'll never see Shoprite Ad airing during 7de Laan. Have you seen the store in Menlyn? I tried to find it! Are your followers potential customers of the brand you want to promote? Or it's just a junk?

4. ABSOLUTELY IMMORAL BEHAVIOR! While you post nudity

out of boredom, you forget (or don't know) that every brand has ethics that protects their business integrity. These ethics guides on who they associate with, including you influencers.Prikaži ovu nit -
5. JUST TRYING MY LUCK. I don't think they trully mean business because if they did, they would read every article and book, watch every video that offers enlightenment in that busines. They don't even have Brand Image/Identity.

Most brands use these questions when considering to work with influencers. 1... What's their Industry of interest (Sports, Fashion, Food, Beauty...?) 2... What kind of value are they delivering in that niche (Are their tweets aligned with that industry?)

3... Can we find our customers in their audience (Do we need Global audience or only South Africans? What about Age? Working Class?) 4... Do their Ethics & Values match ours? (Sorry, We are into fitness, not porn! Your language is too strong for us)

5... How passionate are they in these markets? Are they obsessed or just casual? (Oh well, I don't feel like posting about it today... I feel bored, let's talk dirty today)
