I cant help notice the hot spot south of Greenland is roughly where we see a cold spot these days. Does that hint the Greenland melting was reduced in the MWP ?

Really? Where is the meta-analysis of these papers?
The author of that (ver dubious blig) needs to perform an appropriate analysis. They won't, because their misrepresentation of the papers'conclusions might be exposed 
So it's basically the "French Medieval Warm Period"
I've heard about MWP in the context of comparing middle ages with renaissance in Europe (of course, these terms make little sense elsewhere). If this is it, wouldn't it be better not to use MWP in a global context?
So we're left with just "the medieval period"? That too was not globally coherent!
