I loved the tv controls on the Wii U game pad. I kind of wish every controller had basic tv power and volume control buttons on them

Interesting considering how I don't think this would even work with a real Wiimote, since the controller is technically the sensor with the sensor bar being the IR blaster. Unless the Wiimote has both for some reason.

I don’t have a source on hand, but I seem to recall talk that they were originally going to have the sensor bar work as the receiver of the IR signals and the remote would transmit them, as opposed to what we got which was the reverse. Something about accuracy not being as good.
