hi question - is Mario 64 running on the Wii U VC version, or is it something completely different?

Seems to be based on WU VC, but I can't confirm that. I also can't confirm it doesn't use native code like SMS and SMG do. I haven't actually looked at the code, I just follow some people that have. Be careful about what you read in the news, as it often misinterprets this stuff.
