here's 2 source files from both sm64 and the 64dd ipl (ignore the colors, that's just because notepad++ thinks they are 2 different kinds of code) as you can see there is only a 1-line differencepic.twitter.com/7YOMNJSFwZ

the reason the 64dd ipl has some super mario 64 source code is because if you wait on the "insert disk" screen mario will run around and do various things like punch the n64 logo, so it makes sense that they would copy over the mario data from sm64 to be used in the 64dd
on a related note, there are tar archives encoded in uu, and decoding these shows that the archive was created by the user "has" from the reality group for those who don't know the nintendo 64 was codenamed project realitypic.twitter.com/XZxvzxSjd9
also another thing to note is that this 64dd ipl source code was leaked around may which means that we had some super mario 64 official source code a little before the actual leak that happened in july
thats cool and quite insane
Thing is, I thought this was some crazy thought I came up with my head about this being a more simplified non playable version of SM64. Very Interesting it is really based on SM64 code.
interesting
I mean that makes sense. They ported the sm64 model in there
so if someone wanted to, they could port in the DD idles into sm64, and vise versa
I'd like to see what bios files can be compiled from that data. The one pictured in English is from the US 64DD prototype that was found
