    Health and safety gone mad. Where are the Dutch & Danish kids dressed as Christmas trees...?!

    This is a mistake and keeps cycling as a “danger pursuit” when Sustrans should be making it an everyday travel choice. Also gives cover to schools and councils who refuse to enact safe school streets.

    Just mining the rare materials to build a new smartphone represents 85% to 95% of the device’s total emissions for two years. Buying one new phone takes as much energy as recharging and operating a smartphone for an entire decade.

    A thought on this, does anyone in Government grasp the full potential for behaviour change here? If e-car subsidy transferred to e-bike and pedal purchases the speed of change I think would be alarming. one to consider:

    Train fares are already extortionately high in the UK. So do people expect that fares on the HS2 line will be higher, the same, or lower than current fares? If you think they'll be higher (bound to be unless heavily subsidised) then is this just a business passenger line?

    Great talent. But also look at the street... which today would be clogged with vehicles. Which is the more pleasant environment...

    Sanna Dullaway is Swedish and along with another similar Swedish friend has started a business colourising old photographs. I think she’s brilliant at it. The shadow and light tones are wonderful.

    For companies peddling sustainable transport, they have a total lack of respect for resources. How many will arrive in London? Ofo aspires for 150,000, so perhaps 500,000 in total??

    “Cyclists on separated bike lanes are breathing a better quality of air than those pedaling on traditional roadside bike lanes.” (Bike lanes make a nice fresh air buffer for pedestrians, too!)

    Researchers have found a surprising benefit of separate bike lanes!
