The constant act against Cantonese says the power of the dialect, and of course the culture and identity that come along with it. I still remember the time when Guangdong pushed back using Mandarin only on TV news years ago. It worked.

Also, TikTok should srsly learn from WeChat which had can transcribe Cantonese, Mandarin and English into instantly into text-depending on how you think, it’s also the ability to censor the dialect
