    I once read a thing that said a medieval manuscript was like a Wikipedia page. It was open to edits, additions, emendations, deletions and rewriting. It wasn't a finished thing and it was fine for later readers to do what they liked to them. This changed with the printing press.

    Yesterday my colleague called me a 'book murderer' because I cut long books in half to make them more portable. Does anyone else do this? Is it just me?

    Okay, so y'know how 'laughing' in Japanese is Warai (笑い)? So because it's faster to just type w's over and over because of how japanese typing works on most keyboards, wwwww became shorthand for 'lmao', which THEN got shortened to the kanji for grass (草) bc it looks like grass
