Said as someone who used to coordinate thousands of digital assists for Macy’s campaigns, package and deploy. Everything “seasonal” was planned and adjusted for—there were zero surprises. Surprises = something broken

100% and ALSO if the user activity is “seasonal” it’s cyclical which means it can be planned for. Ex: summertime email engagement might go down but SMS engagement up. You can still hit user acq KPIs planning around “the season” twitter.com/teej_m/status/…

Stop blaming “seasonality”. Any data investigation that starts with “maybe it’s seasonal” is off track. When reporting metrics, seasonality should be baked in. Leaders need to think about comparison periods - how data is compared over time - and enforce it across the company.

In Switzerland, private day care costs between $3,500 and $5,000 per month. Imagine you have 4 children. This itself eats up all your fees haha.
