    Drowsily wrote this note to myself in the middle of the night and left it on my desk, thinking it would make for good writing motivation. Promptly forgot about it, came down this morning and for a split second wondered who had cursed me with this ominous threat 😂

    Please stop forcing authors to retraumatize themselves/"prove" trauma in order to prove they can write about heavy topics. It's one thing if the book is proven to be far from accurate (AD, for example). It's another when, well, people's experiences don't match the author's.
