Without obscenely raising taxes, Baker cannot shut down the state. Relief has to come from the fed gov. So when I see people call for punitive and restrictive measures, it's painful. Do you really see a scenario where we are all paid 80% of our income to stay home? I don't.
I don't see it when we consistently silence conversations and essentially work for a greedy, corporatized government spreading propaganda for them. Instead of collapsing on a shut down argument when you know damn well its possible and we should fight for good policy.

We’re on the same page. My issue is that governments can impose lockdown measures without needing to provide relief. Fighting takes time. I’ve been in the fight for a while. But today the reality is we’re slowly killing people by instituting these measures without a fall net.
