Wouldnt a Hard or Prestige mode just be a better idea than having contest active at all times? I don’t understand

Feel like wow has a tried and true, good system when it comes to difficulty in raids. While I understand there’s probably a developmental reason bungie doesn’t put out hard modes, can’t really help but think that’s a better solution than just making raids harder for everybody lol
I think game content needs to support multiple skill ranges if possible. No reason for PvE content not to have a difficulty for experience/lore, slight challenge, and insanely hard/high prestige. It hardly segments a player base as elite players participate in all of it anyways

Sort of my exact thought process, having an easier, entry level experience has literally never harmed anybody or sullied their gameplay experience as long as the mechanics are good

mhmmmm, even if it’s sans mechanics and big fancy health bars, the more accessibility the better. let more people experience the content
