If a sweeping reduction in student debt happens, I truly hope it comes with changes to prohibitively high costs that stopped people from incurring that debt in the first place.

Out of curiosity (feel free not to reply if you don’t feel like sharing) was it the costs/loans required, or more a lack of education on how to even get a loan to go. I know I fell into both categories and couldn’t stomach the idea of taking a loan everyone else regretted.

100% both. just hearing those prices and seeing how other people were so unhappy and stressed after words was such a big turn off for me and i regret it so much
