If a sweeping reduction in student debt happens, I truly hope it comes with changes to prohibitively high costs that stopped people from incurring that debt in the first place.

Can’t help but think of how many I know who didn’t go to college because of loans and to feel even more punished for that decision would be crushing.

Out of curiosity (feel free not to reply if you don’t feel like sharing) was it the costs/loans required, or more a lack of education on how to even get a loan to go. I know I fell into both categories and couldn’t stomach the idea of taking a loan everyone else regretted.
