Here's my unpopular game dev tweet. There are more graduates of game programming & design programs than there are jobs. Some colleges are subpar in their preparation of graduates, leaving them ill equipped & drowning in a mountain of debt. Formal training isn't the only path.
This whole thread and the others commenting makes me feel a lot better about my path. Confidence and feeling not good enough/not qualified enough are a huge struggle I’ve carried even into having a role in games. I love the people in this industry.
