post hardcore is the “genre” i’ve found most success in enjoying. check out Birds in Row, Ojne, Portrayal of Guilt, Arrowhead, Pianos Become the Teeth (their old stuff), and Touché Amore and you may find some stuff you’re into

It’s less that and more that they don’t sound similar. I guess you can argue that genres in general are bad at categorizing music and as humans we like things to fit in little boxes.
