Advice I just gave a writer friend: Don't have a trans woman as a murder victim. Trans women hate that. Trans man should be fine tho.

Well, was talking more about the sensitivity of the communities. But there's not much evidence that violence against trans men is common.
With the caveat that stats are hard to come by and going purely by stats it's also hard to prove violence against trans women is common.

But there's much more of a circumstantial case to make that trans women are highly likely to be victims, none at all for trans men.
