Bc there hasn't been a long history of putting us in fiction as victims of violence and so we're not particularly sensitive about it.
Advice I just gave a writer friend: Don't have a trans woman as a murder victim. Trans women hate that. Trans man should be fine tho.

Well, was talking more about the sensitivity of the communities. But there's not much evidence that violence against trans men is common.
-
With the caveat that stats are hard to come by and going purely by stats it's also hard to prove violence against trans women is common.

I'm afraid I don't see anything about male violence in your link?
-
It's well known (though underreported) that female same-sex relationships have the same rate of domestic violence & rape as straight ones.

The majority of violence in the lesbian community is woman on woman, though. (Obviously).
-
And there's no less violence in lesbian relationships than there is in straight relationships.

Sure. But since I was talking about the respective sensitivities of the communities about fictional representation, it's irrelevant.

Trans men don't give a damn if someone writes a novel with a trans man as a murder victim. It's not a tired stereotype of trans men.

I mean, basically you want trans men to be as sensitive as trans women about being over-portrayed by media as victims of violence...
-
...but not to first have any trans men portrayed as victims of violence. LOL!
