I'd posit that any who id as progressive (having "prog" values) & also take w/e action they feel best supports those values, is progressive

Sure, I'm with you so far. And the same is absolutely true, imo, for a person in a swing state grudgingly voting for Clinton.
But Clinton herself & people who strongly supported her either aren't prog or I need a new word to make clear- we're not politically close.

I'm not on the verge of voting for a candidate like Clinton. A few small tweaks aren't a compromise I can accept.

(Also true of Obama- I did vote for him in his first election but not in the second after it was clearer what his politics were).
