I get what you're saying. Like when Clinton objected to single payor on the disingenuous grounds that it would raise taxes...

...and I took her as saying she didn't want my vote, she wanted to court Republicans by echoing dishonest & unfair R talking points.

You're saying Bernie's gun votes were like Clinton's completely cynical (and ineffective!) betrayal of my core values on health care.

Didn't mention Clinton, but yeah you're doing the thing I allude to here: ascribing a moral value to one vote you don't like but not another

I ascribe a moral value to both. I personally care more about sick poor people than about reducing suicides, although both are important.

Hey, that's all I'm saying here. & even (tho obvs more limited) we can have differing ideas/strategies but still both be "progressive"
