I disagree w/ the underlyin assumption here, & I think it runs thru much of ur position. I'll try 2 articulate it...

Ur Premise: Preponderance of sum1's ID cums from innate personality traits & social characteristics, independent of environmental influence.

U also seem 2 b sayin that "Gender" is 1 of these immutable, fundamental characteristics which define ppl, right?

As I was saying earlier, that's possible, but also possible it's a characteristic that's stronger in some ppl than others.

Consider art. Some people are defined by their art & can't live without expressing themselves through art. But all can draw, write, sing.

For some denying their artistic expression would cause immense pain, others can become artists bc their family are & they learned the skill.

Yes, sum may learn the skill & not b as emotionally invested in expressin themselves thru art, but r u saying that's reflectiv of sum ...

... inherent part of that person's being? Sorta like, that's parta their soul? Predestined to b, sorta thing? Mayb even, "How God made em?"
