I don't think most women actually are that way, or ever were. So, yes, I think people naturally resist coercive socialization.

People are harmed by limiting perceptions/expectations of others, not primarily by socialization making them into robots w/o agency.

Socialization is interesting, and makes a difference on the margins. But you can't fundamentally change who a person is.
