This is the heart of the matter: How much harm to confused cis kids is acceptable? I'm somewhere between none and some- you're at none?

Why is preventable harm to children a necessary part of your formulation?

If it's possible to identify trans people young in life, their lives are/will be unimaginably easier and less painful.

So that prompts questions: Are we iding those children correctly? Is it even possible? If there are false positives, do they cause harm?

My position is we occasionally don't iding those kids correctly, it will be possible to be more accurate eventually, it causes minimal harm.

So misidentifying children's "gender identity" causes them minimal harm.

Sure. Two possibilities: 1. All ppl have strong gender ids that will assert themselves, in which case a false pos would be brief...

or 2. Some ppl have weaker gender ids than others, in which case a false positive might persist a while or even a lifetime, but who cares?
