I don't think we know how stable early parentally-affirmed trans identities are. It's too new as a phenomenon to know.

It's inevitable that one day we'll see an account by a kid who grew up trans, reverted, and blames parents for pushing them towards that.

That doesn't mean trans kids aren't trans or this is a widespread phenomenon! Just the law of averages.
