I don't think we know how stable early parentally-affirmed trans identities are. It's too new as a phenomenon to know.

It's inevitable that one day we'll see an account by a kid who grew up trans, reverted, and blames parents for pushing them towards that.

I think it's a fair thing to do, although it gets more complicated when you want to extrapolate a larger point from your kids' exp alone.
