That's never seemed wrong to me, and it's obviously basic stuff, but I don't see anyone eaningfully engaging with it in the mainstream.

It's a tricky line to walk, because at least in my mind there's no excusing anyone for the resentful racism we've seen starting to thrive...

But, rating that racist resentment as if it came from nowhere, or to refuse to engage it because we're morally above it, is suicidal.
