The paper posits that if race is a construct then it's subjective and Dolezal is fine. The counterargument is that the paper hurts feelings
I think the paper mostly succeeds at avoiding pushing the buttons of trans people, & displays ignorance about where the buttons are on race.

It's not ignorant, it intends to bother some people. Either race is a vestigial social construct, or it's genetic/essential

I think there's also the position that social constructs aren't easily or trivially disposed of.
