I approached it like a patient with a medical condition. I researched the condition and weighed the treatment options.
All trans folks don't see it this way, but my leanings are scientific. Also a difference between me and someone who transitions younger.

Having been socialized as a female and lived as a female more than 30 yrs had consequences that don't apply to all trans folks.

The tough thing about trans youth is balancing the good of growing up in the right social gender vs the harm if someone gets it wrong.
