I struggled with that in my coming out process--the fear that being trans wasn't "real" and my feelings had been culturally influenced.
Starting T settled the issue to my satisfaction. Still can't say what it means to say I'm a "real" man, but my system works on testosterone.

same here. I was really cautious starting E, telling myself that I can stop at any time if it feels wrong. never felt wrong though
