What ppl either forget or don't know about the Democratic Party is they've been the dominant political force since, basically, our founding.

The Dems are not the little guys. They're not for the little guys. It profoundly misunderstands political reality to view them that way.
This doesn't mean Dems are evil, or they never do the right things, but their primary organizing principle is getting and keeping power.

No more, no less. And it has been this way since the earliest days of our nation. So by all means, work with Dems. Vote for them.

But do not cast them as the good guys or the morally centered guys the champions of the little guys. That's historically naive & inaccurate.
