And of course everyone I know still basically believes themselves to be middle class, getting by reasonably.
I live on the cusp of American inequality. 1/2 of ppl I know are amazed my wife will be making $50K. 1/2 see it as a modest starting point.

Me, I'm not sure which 1/2 I'm in. The chance not to worry about bills seems simultaneously remarkable and what I was brought up to expect.
