You're saying it's not a tic bc there's meaning behind it. But, that meaning is to reflexively weaken one's own perspective.

Other people are perfectly able to weaken my perspective without my helping them do it.

Not to mention, I know plenty of women who use "I think" and aren't at all open to others perspectives. My sis uses "I think".
