      @transphilosophr Absolutely true. The transgender phenomenon may or may not have a pre-natal underpinning. The question is open.

      @v_urq No - I think the phenomenon of gender identity is much more complicated than "I verbalized it therefore it's true"

      @transphilosophr I'm glad. This "identity" concept seems so slippery to me. Can someone lie about their identity? Can they be mistaken?

      @v_urq If you ask someone "Are you in pain?" and they say "yes" sure they could be lying about it but normally we take self-report seriously
