Read what you’re writing and what it’s responding to. You’re completely avoiding anything that differs from your current viewpoint instead of refuting anything she’s saying, you’re getting huffy about tone when she’s trying to help you understand. Not discussing in good faith.pic.twitter.com/2dNypG0YIB

No, not at all. I've learned some really interesting stuff- and I hope I've challenged some assumptions as well. If you're saying she wasn't coming in good faith to talk to me, I have to agree, but there's still things you can learn from everyone, don't you think?

100% agree which is why I reach out to everyone of every viewpoint. I just thought Dr Mason came across pretty clearly abt what she meant about blockers and bone density etc it’s hard to be fully clear in so few characters ig.

Yeah, I mean, having to give kids a calcium supplement for a few years is PRETTY serious but I'm not sure I understand why psychological difficulties of precocious puberty are worse than psychological difficulties of GD. Was hoping she'd explain.

She’s been trying pretty hard to explain to you that it’s more serious than kids having to drink more milk tho so you’re minimizing it, she is a doctor who works in trans medicine, what do you have to refute her valid concerns about blockers? Trans kids deserve long term health

She isn't a doctor that works in trans medicine, though. She's a pediatrician who moonlights in anti-trans advocacy.

She has a doctorate in pediatric medicine. Trans children aren’t aliens, are they? She has a doctorate level understanding of the developing human body & deserves a little more weight being given to her viewpoints, it’s not so much anti as it is critical, & criticism is healthy

ESPECIALLY in a field of medicine that is developing like this one. She is doing right by her patients to be speaking up when things can improve for trans healthcare.

I don't think you're being logical. Her credential is no more than any other doctor. You feel completely free to criticize doctors- you disagree with the majority of experts about this. But you're asking me to be impressed by her being a doctor?
