In a world where white supremacy and misogyny was NOT pervasive, that would be an insane thing to say to say to the cops, and the cops would never respond by repeating it immediately as if it somehow explained anything.

If you ever wondered what pervasive white supremacy and misogyny means in practice, a white man who'd murdered several Asian women knowing that saying "I have a sex addiction" would make him MORE sympathetic to white cops is a pretty good example of what people mean by it.
