Agreed in at least many cases- and so then the question is do you read anything into that or not? As a trans person in the US, I've left multiple clinics bc I moved far away. I know in the UK a lot leave to go private bc wait lists are so long... 1/2

...but, certainly its also common for detrans ppl to quietly drop out. For me that's enough to make me adjust my mental estimate up a percentage pt or two, but I'm not persuaded that most who drop out quietly are detrans.

Not necessarily reading into it as if it’s so unusual to leave, it’s the fact that we don’t have this information definitively. The shame associated w/ detransition definitely affects the number coming back and actually talking about detransitioning (& many don’t see the point)
