      Don't get me wrong... I'm very lucky. Buuuut I also make a really obvious target for drunk cis men at the bar who want to get aggro but really don't want their faces beaten in. (They find out I don't play... but I never felt so regularly threatened when I was non-male passing.)

      i have a burning urge to fight everyone, but i think that's far more about compensating for a life without boundaries thus far than any kind of love of confrontation

      i often think about testosterone as a way to juice up my self-defense, put some real meat on my frame, if you will i am alone often, i am my only defense a lot of the time already, but how much AC am i getting from my pixie-like presentation currently?

      actual women keep pointing out that "don't hit girls" is not actually a rule that people follow, but it definitely felt like it was what kept me out of the fighting as a kid

      I mean, I remain ready and able to defend myself, and I've put on a ton of muscle, but you get a long way just by not being scared. Someone who picks on a guy for being small doesn't want to fight, he wants to intimidate. If you're not intimidated there's no follow through.

      I once bluffed a guy, conservatively, 4x my size. No idea why Big Man was starting, but he did not expect "I didn't bump into you, you bumped into me what are you tryna do, here, don't bump the fuck into people" to come outta my mouth. He did not pursue the matter further.
