I've seen a lot of detransitioners advice for parents of "ROGD daughters" in my research and EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME they say "nothing could have convinced me, the only thing that would have helped was if my parents supported me until I figured it out for myself."https://twitter.com/reclaimingtrans/status/1370042764172271617 …

Is this not just detransitioners who support the existence of trans people, though? I've definitely seen several detransitioners on Twitter who say they'd have preferred it if people told them that transness is just a "cult," or an escape from their "real problems."

I haven't seen everything a detransitioner has ever said about this, but generally they say their parents' outright rejection fed their mentality and made them more dependent on the trans community, but if their parents had 'played along' they'd have come to their senses earlier.
