I'd also add the parallels with (male) homophobia, in terms of "not being man enough" or being "effeminate. There's a huge intersection of a whole heap of different elements of masculinity at it's most toxic right there.
People who split hairs would probably say that's also based in misogyny... but mostly I want to say yeah, there's a funny transversal you do as a trans man where you go from "crazy girl faking it" to "man but bad at it by being too feminine " to "one of the good ones".
True, misogyny really has so many forms in which it fucks ppls over!
