"All my relationships have been both gay and straight relationships" is really resonating for me.https://twitter.com/sadydoyle/status/1367510856678924293 …
I have yet to date anyone as an out trans man. All the people I've dated have been woman. Of those, by far the most common type of woman I dated was a bi-curious woman who'd only dated men before me.

Many- possibly even all- the bi-curious women went on to date women after they dated me. Obviously I was drawn to women who'd only dated men before for a reason. My relationships with them weren't entirely straight, but they weren't entirely lesbian either.

I mean this in a fairly concrete way. These bi-curious women were used to dating men and had expectations they brought to a new relationship based on heterosexuality, some of which I was very happy to go along with.

But, they weren't solely straight relationships. We were seen as lesbians by the world, we spoke of our relationship in wlw terms, the roles were a lot less strict and well-defined, and there was no testosterone-based energy.

A blend of straight and gay captures it well. A melange, if you will. Best of both worlds? Perhaps 'twas.
