i haven't read the article yet but there's a lot of reasons not to argue with transphobes regarding the science, the most prominent being that you shouldn't need to know the science to treat anyone decently.
I agree you shouldn't, but I also think that pragmatically speaking countering bad science with good science can be a powerful tool.

yeah, it's good to correct the science for the science's sake & for people who are just ignorant about it, but a lot of hardcore transphobes seem to just not care about the actual science & cling to shit like bl×nchard. they're like antivaxxers in that way.
