Man it'd be really good to deal with the complex multifaceted ways that homophobia affects trans people one day. A lot of cis LGB folks have no fucking idea.

I think there are aspects of this that come out in a lot of detransitioner narratives that I kinda relate to reading them, with the exception that I don't blame homophobia for being trans. But I feel like they're the group that have gotten to the point of at least cracking open.

There's also specific stuff that affects transfem people - the hypersexualisation of us by psychiatry is wildly rooted in multiple complex forms of homophobia which many of us have been *forced* to internalise as a means of navigating transition and specifically healthcare safely

For lesbian or bi trans women there's the AGP stigma which shames us as trans WLW, for trans women who love men, there's the hyperhomosexual inversion pathologisation. Both are powerfully tied up with medical and social stigmas.

I know there's been some related stuff attached to transmasculine people from time to time, but it doesn't seem to stick the same way. It seems particular to the deviance of registered males who debase ourselves by electing to take the lower social role.

I'm not certain, but I think if femme trans men (who wear makeup/dresses etc) had any kind of larger cultural visibility they'd get a ton of this. They already do inside the transmasc community, which tells me the anti-femme attitudes can very easily find them as a target.
