This is interesting. I hated most dolls (they were boring). I liked making clothes for them at the best. When I was given a babydoll, she ended up under a pile of my other toys, in the carriage I used to cart everything around. I gave my son a handmedown doll from my sister...

not as a punishment, but I wanted to teach him he could be involved/help with his future kids, if he chooses to have them. A lot of men I've met/seen thing that's a woman's job :/ He was kind & had fun caring for the doll, on his own. Better than I was tbh lol. He's a good soul.

I think a toy that looks like a human baby and a sturdy toy truck you can push around and (optimally) ride on, should be standard for all children. Every child wants to stick a baby in the back of a dumptruck and push it around making vroom vroom noises, imho.
