That is sounds silly and unimportant is an aspect of misandry. Misandry makes the concept of misandry itself a farce.

Lol. I swear thats a word that I (and many others) have convergently coined at some point. I've decided I dont really like the phobia part. No one is actually scared of trans guys.

well if we're going there, a great deal of what we class as transphobic behaviour is not phobic in the least. it may be ignorance, it may be outright assholery, but it's not based on fear of.

Well sure. Which is why some people opt to use transmisic instead. But I think its most people are familiar with the word and concept of misogyny. Transmisogyny is a logical linguistic extention of that. Misandry is a real thing. Most people don't actually think about it...

my opinion is that the word is clunky and not ideal, but its also the best one available right now, and the best understood. it gets the point across intuitively and without having to explain the difference between cis misandry (not real) and trans misandry (real)
