Gosh, and trans butch women as well. I was using cis as an intensifier as in EVEN THE CIS might overlap SOMEtimes, but if I inadvertently implied all butch women are cis, I did not mean to do so.
Funny-but-not-really story: One of the very last things to push me into recognizing I was trans was discomfort with trans butch women. My thought process went "Trans women can't be butch when the whole point is you wish you were a man but can't be... wait... am I trans?"
My dissonance started with "Well, I don't want to SLEEP with women, but I want to hang out with the butches, cuz they're more like me" I was a cis-acting, married mom. Hilarious when I look back.
I have a buddy- currently serving in the military as an out trans man- who was similar. He called himself a straight butch woman when I first met him. Wild twist, post transition his sexuality seems to have swung towards liking women. So he stayed straight, somehow.
