A rarely discussed issue that impacts trans men (and transmasculine medically transitioning NBs) is that, in the US, testosterone is a controlled medication because of its illegal use by cis men for doping.

and transfemme. hey did you know transfem and transmasc aren't synonyms for AGAB and using them like this is transphobic? trans women don't all identify as feminine, trans men don't all identify as masculine

Transmasculine in this context refers to the masculinizing effects of testosterone, so I'm honestly not really sure what you're talking about. AFAB NBs who don't want to be masculinized wouldn't take testsoterone.

yeah I figured you meant it that way testosterone isn't inherently masculinizing tho masculinity and femininity are arbitrary ideals and for some of us, testosterone could be "feminizing" or vice versa with estrogen like I'm a transmasc but I can tell you were referring to

can trans men have ONE term for ourselves hello masculinizing and feminizing are medical terms, 99% of the damn community uses transfem and transmasc, calling urself transmasc when you said youre actually transfem is so. fucking weird and invasive!

Look, we don't need to call someone weird and invasive. I haven't heard the way the terms are being used here, and I'm not planning to adopt this usage based on one person... but let's just chill and not put it on a level it doesn't need to be.
