I've been worried about this for a long time. I'm a man, but I'm not a bystander to feminism. My past life experience was shaped by sexism, and my existence as a trans man continues to be.https://twitter.com/reclaimingtrans/status/1360258975841796096 …

It's not feminism to treat trans men like me as victims with no agency who needs transphobes to save me from being trans. It's sexism, based on my birth-assigned sex, and it's what feminism has been fighting against since before I was born.

It's ALSO not feminism to treat trans women as incurable super predators based on their sex. When people believe the male sex is that dangerous women end up being "protected" by having their freedom to move, work, and make decisions limited. For their own good, of course.

The male sex has dominated the female for time immemorial. That much is true, But feminism is about believing that can change. Feminism is knowing it won't always be that way, because neither sex is inherently superior to the other.

If we give up that core belief, I'm sorry, but that's the whole ballgame.
